The third visualization technique I am introducing is “to do as if”. It is an effective way to form what you visualize into reality. The reason is that you fully focus on what you want into detail and you hold this visualization as long as you are awake.
How is "to do as if" done?
You live the life as you want it, as if you already have what you want. I would say that to do as if is very difficult for adults. Children are good at it. They live in their world and can wonderfully play this game of “doing as if” it is really as they imagine something, a someone and a certain situation.
It is done as follows: You life in your apartment, but see yourself in the home, in which you really want to live. You walk through your apartment, but see yourself walk through your dream home with all details – wall coloring, furniture, decoration, the view from the windows, the noise and even the smell. Even though you do all the household chores yourself, you see and feel as if servants are doing it. You might even give them orders, speaking them out loud, as if the servants are really there.
Think of children who speak with there toys and sometimes they speak with someone others don’t see. They are so fucused on their visualization that they seem to really see this someone.
When you sit in your car, you see yourself sit in your dream car, the car you really want. You see the car inside as if it is the inside of your dream car. You feel the leather or fine materials, you smell the inside, for example if there is wood and/or leather. You hear the noise of the motor of your dream car. You switch on the radio, which looks for a certain channel itself.
It is sad that we have lost the ability to easily do as if, visualizing a world that exists in our mind. As we do so, our visualization is getting into form. We think in pictures. Every picture evokes a distinct emotion and the emotion a distinct vibration, which draws what we want into our world – In other words, thoughts are formed into reality.
